El Salvador, Finca Monterrey
Located at 1,450m and nestled in the beautiful Apaneca-Lamatepec mountain range, Finca Monterrey is renowned for producing an exceptional level of coffee. The farm benefits from fertile and humid soil, due to underground reservoirs, which makes it the perfect environment for cultivating coffee.
Coffee beans here are grown under the shade of native trees and Inga plants, which not only protects the coffee plants, but also helps to enrich the soil and sustain local biodiversity.
All coffee is meticulously hand-picked and processed immediately, with great care taken over each stage. This coffee goes through the ‘washed’ process where clear waters from natural springs in the area are used to wash the coffee before sun or machine-drying.
